Collaborative therapy for deeply feeling people

Maybe you feel stuck in patterns of self-doubt or helplessness, unsure of how to create the life you desire. Past experiences—whether traumatic events, relational wounds, or unmet needs—may still echo in the present, impacting the way you view yourself and make meaning. Or perhaps you struggle to experience emotions without judgment, turning blame inward while holding the lonely weight of despair and disconnection.

There are countless reasons to seek out a therapeutic relationship, and I feel grateful for the chance to learn about yours. I offer in-person, individual, integrative counseling for those navigating the impacts of anxiety, depression, and trauma. Whether you’re facing challenges, exploring identity, or seeking to enhance your relationships, I believe counseling can help illuminate paths forward.

Hi, I’m Ariel Shearer (she/her)

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington. I seek to help deeply feeling people process pain and find clarity.

My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. That means I see my role as a co-creator of your therapeutic experience, rather than a leader. I’m here to walk alongside you as we explore opportunities for deepening your self-trust and charting new paths toward healing, growth, and authentic connection.

My theoretical orientation is integrative and grounded in existential, attachment, and somatic theories. I also believe animals can be incredible partners in healing. In many sessions, my dog Roux (a certified Canine Good Citizen) will join us, offering calm and gentle comfort, presence, and her own unique wisdom.
